      Bottom loading arms are designed to accommodate the widest range of possible working envelopes. The working envelope, in which the adaptors on the tank truck are positioned, is described in the API 1004 RP. Regardless of tank truck layout, as long as it is according to API 1004 RP, OPW bottom loading arms can be connected to any of the truck adaptors, and work simultaneous. This important aspect, one of the major advantages of bottom loading, is the result of the comprehensive OPW loading arm design. It allows to load multiple compartments with different petroleum products efficiently at the same time.
      Bottom loading arms are available in many different configurations to accommodate specific customer requirements. Model HSL32F is equipped with an additional drop hose swivel for added flexibility and increased hose life.

Accessories / Options

Grounding/Bonding – Suggested for many top/splash loading applications. Available as an option on all Loading Arm designs. 
The electronic grounding unit MT30 allows safe loading and unloading of mobile tanks (mounted on trucks, wagons or trolleys and also big bags) in which flammable substances are poured at high speed generating electrostatic charges that can cause sparks and explosions.
 

Protects your equipment, piping and personnel in the event of an unintended pull-away. A consideration whenever you are making a tight connection to a truck or railcar.  

With OPW, you have many options at your disposal for your loading arm termination connections. From the original quick-disconnect Kamlok® coupling to our Epsilon™ dry disconnect coupling, we have a coupling to meet your needs.
